| Robert
K. Scott is a well-known trial attorney, specializing in all
aspects of insurance “bad faith” litigation. Mr.
Scott has practiced law in California for over 30 years. While
maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics,
he has obtained multi-million dollar judgments, favorable
appellate decisions and arbitration awards, as well as substantial
out-of-court settlements on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Scott attended United States International University,
receiving a B.A. in 1971. In 1975, he obtained his J.D. from
California Western School of Law, where he now sits on the
Board of Trustees and is a member of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Scott initially practiced labor law but after joining
the pioneer of insurance “bad faith,” Attorney
William M. Shernoff, Mr. Scott focused exclusively on suing
insurance companies on behalf of consumers and businesses
in California. In 1989, Mr. Scott opened the doors of Shernoff
& Scott in Newport Beach, California, continuing to avidly
pursue the protection of insured’s rights. In 1996,
Mr. Scott went into private practice as the Law Offices of
Robert K. Scott, expanding his practice to include personal
injury, wrongful termination, elder abuse and wrongful death.
Mr. Scott is a frequently invited lecturer and speaks nationwide
on insurance related topics. He is a frequent author and consultant
on insurance related legal matters. Mr. Scott is co-author,
with colleague and former California Trial Lawyers Association
President, Douglas K. deVries, of “Establishing Insurance
Bad Faith” in the Insurance Settlement Handbook, published
by James Publishing Company.
Mr. Scott is currently Chairman and a member of the Executive
Committee of the Board of Trustees of Irvine Regional Hospital
and Medical Center and a member of the Board of Trustees of
the Irvine Cancer Center. In addition, Mr. Scott has served
on the Board of the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance
Practice sub-committees on Disability, Health and Life Insurance.
He is also a member and the former Chairman of the Committee
on Group Insurance Programs of the State Bar of California.
Mr. Scott has served as a member of the California State Bar
Court (discipline arm of the State Bar), and as a Special
Prosecutor for the California State Bar and as Special Master
for the California State Bar.

| Joel
S. Poremba is a graduate of the University of California,
San Diego, receiving a B.A. in Political Science in 1989 and
obtained his J.D. from Western State University in 1995.
Mr. Poremba began his legal career as general liability defense
attorney. Mr. Poremba moved on to pursuing the successful
resolution of medical malpractice actions and employment discrimination
actions. In 2001, Mr. Poremba joined the Law Offices of Robert
K. Scott. Since joining the firm, Mr. Poremba has concentrated
exclusively on the practice of all aspects of insurance bad
faith litigation, with an emphasis on law and motion matters.
Mr. Poremba is admitted to practice in State Court, the Central,
Northern, and Southern Districts of the United States District
Court, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Scott Mohney did his undergraduate work at Cal State Los Angeles
and Cal State Long Beach, and obtained his J.D. from the
University of La Verne Law School in 1985. Admitted to the
California Bar in 1986, Mr. Mohney has obtained numerous and
substantial judgments and settlements for insurance companies.
Specializing in insurance bad faith, with a primary focus in
life, health and disability cases, Mr. Mohney has significant
trial experience with a combined total of approximately
twenty-five jury and bench trials. Although primarily
focusing in insurance related matters, he has also successfully
tried cases involving partnership disputes, personal injury, and
intellectual property (misappropriation of right of publicity).
Mr. Mohney has extensive experience in appellate matters,
handling over sixty appeals, including those before the
California State Courts of Appeal, the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeal and the California Supreme Court. Appeals in which
he participated (briefed and/or argued) resulting in published
opinions include Gomez v. Pronto Trucking
(Arizona), Cross v. Mutual Benefit, Hernandez v. GAB, Sarraf
v. Standard, and Sweatman v. Cal Vet.
Mr. Mohney is a member of the California Bar, and admitted to
the United States District Courts in California (Central,
Eastern, and Southern Districts), and the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeal. He has assisted in the litigation of numerous
class actions, and was a Professor of Law teaching legal writing
courses for some eleven years. He is also an accomplished
musician, currently working with recording artists locally and
in the Phoenix area, and a published writer of fiction.

K. deVries attended the University of California at Los Angeles,
obtaining his B.A. in Political Science in 1967. He received
an M.A. in 1973 from California State University at Northridge
and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge
School of Law in 1976. Mr. deVries is a former California
Trial Lawyers Association President and a vigorous advocate
for insurance consumers, focusing on life, health and disability
coverages.
